MS Insignia is the lead ship of the R class of cruise ships built for Renaissance Cruises. She is now owned by Oceania Cruises as part of its Regatta Class of ships, but recently sailed for Hapag-Lloyd as the Columbus 2. She was built in 1998 by the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in St. Nazaire, France for Renaissance Cruises as MS R One. Renaissance Cruises had begun operations in 1989, with a series of eight small luxury cruise ships constructed during the course of the next three years. The Majesty of the Seas

MS Majesty of the Seas is a Sovereign-class cruise ship owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd and operated by Royal Caribbean International. She was built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyards in Saint-Nazaire, France, and placed in service on April 26, 1992. Her Godmother is Queen Sonja of Norway. Plans to transfer Majesty of the Seas to Pullmantur in 2016 had been announced on November 21, 2014, however in July 2015, Royal Caribbean reversed those plans, instead stating that Majesty of the Seas would stay with Royal Caribbean International. A 1/8 scale model of the Majesty of the Seas was built in Morsbach by François Zanella. The Majesty of the Seas (mini) was launched in 2005. She does river cruises in and around Paris.   read more…

MS Harmony of the Seas is an Oasis-class cruise ship built by STX France at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire in France for Royal Caribbean International. She is the largest passenger ship in the world, surpassing her older sisters Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. For the inaugural season, Harmony of the Seas will offer seven-night western Mediterranean cruises originating from Barcelona and Rome (Civitavecchia). In late October 2016, the ship will cross the Atlantic to the United States, where she will offer seven-night eastern and western Caribbean cruises originating from Port Everglades, Florida, starting in November. The Europa 2

The MS Europa 2 is a cruise ship operating for Hapag Lloyd. She entered service in May 2013. The first steel was cut on 5 September 2011, the keel was laid on 1 March 2012 and the vessel being launched on 6 July 2012. She was built at the STX Europe shipyard at Saint-Nazaire in France. On 29 April 2013, the vessel was handed over to Hapag Lloyd. She was christened on the 10th May 2013, during the 824th Hamburg Port Anniversary. Europa 2‘s maiden voyage started on 11 May 2013 for 14 nights.   read more…
