Eau Claire (French: lit. ‘clear water’) is a city in
Eau Claire and
Chippewa counties in the U.S. state of
Wisconsin. It is the
county seat of
Eau Claire County. It is the
seventh-most populous city in Wisconsin, with a population of 69,421 at the
2020 census (estimated at 72,331 in 2024). The
Eau Claire metropolitan area, known locally as the
Chippewa Valley, has approximately 176,000 residents.

Columbia University (also known as
Columbia, and officially as
Columbia University in the City of New York) is a
private Ivy League research university in
New York City. Established in 1754 as
King’s College on the grounds of
Trinity Church in
Manhattan, Columbia is the oldest institution of higher education in
New York and the fifth-oldest institution of
higher learning in the United States. It is one of nine
colonial colleges founded prior to the
Declaration of Independence, seven of which belong to the
Ivy League. Columbia is ranked among the top universities in the world by major education publications.

MV Adonia is a cruise ship which is the sole vessel of the
Fathom fleet, a new brand of
Carnival Corporation & plc. The ship was built by
Chantiers de l’Atlantique at their shipyard in
St. Nazaire, France.
Adonia is a twin sister ship of the
Pacific Princess (which is the smallest ship of
Princess Cruises), four sister ships are operated by
Oceania Cruises and two sister ships are operated by
Azamara Club Cruises.
