Harar (Amharic: ሐረር; Harari: ሀረር / هَرَرْ; Oromo: Adare Biyyo; Somali: Herer; Arabic: هرر), known historically by the indigenous as Harar-Gey or simply Gey (Harari: ጌይ, ݘٛىيْ, Gēy, lit.: ‘the city’), is a walled city in eastern Ethiopia.
