Tregothnan Estate is beside the village of
St Michael Penkivel 3 miles (4.8 km) south-east of
Truro in
Cornwall. St Michael Penkevil lies within the
Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Almost a third of Cornwall has
AONB designation, with the same status and protection as a National Park.
