Neve Tzedek is a neighborhood located in southwestern
Tel Aviv ,
Israel . It was the first
Jewish neighborhood to be built outside the old city of the ancient
port of
Jaffa . Originally it was a
Sephardi Jewish neighbourhood. Since the 1990s, rundown properties have been restored and it is now a fashionable quarter of Tel Aviv.

Bevis Marks Synagogue, officially
Qahal Kadosh Sha’ar ha-Shamayim (“Holy Congregation Gate of Heaven”), is the
oldest synagogue in the United Kingdom in continuous use. It is located off
Bevis Marks ,
Aldgate , in the
City of London . The synagogue was built in 1701 and is affiliated to London’s historic
Spanish and Portuguese Jewish community. It is a Grade I
listed building . It is the only synagogue in Europe which has held
regular services continuously for more than 300 years .

The Portuguese Synagogue<, also known as the
Esnoga , or
Snoge , is a late 17th-century Sephardic
synagogue in
Amsterdam , completed in 1675.
Esnoga is the word for synagogue in
Ladino , the traditional Judaeo-Spanish language of
Sephardic Jews . The
Amsterdam Sephardic community (
History of the Jews in Spain ,
History of the Jews in Portugal ,
Alhambra Decree ) was one of the largest and richest Jewish communities in Europe during the
Dutch Golden Age , and their very large synagogue reflected this. The synagogue remains an active place of worship and is also a popular tourist attraction.
