Marella Discovery (formerly Splendour of the Seas and TUI Discovery) is a former Royal Caribbean InternationalVision-classcruise ship now sailing for Marella Cruises. The second in the line of the Vision-class ships, she features a seven-story lobby, rock-climbing wall, and a 9-hole miniature golf course. Following the announcement on 9 October 2017 that Thomson Cruises would be renamed Marella Cruises, TUI Group also announced that TUI Discovery would adopt the name Marella Discovery at the end of October 2017, and also that she would become the first ship in the Thomson fleet to be based in Asia, home porting Malaysia in Autumn 2018, following the end of her UK debut season. read more…
Liberty of the Seas is a Royal Caribbean InternationalFreedom-classcruise ship which entered regular service in May 2007. MS Navigator of the Seas is the fourth Voyager-class cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International, and the first second-generation Voyager-class ship. She was once the largest ship in the fleet and still ranks among the largest passenger ships in the world. Her sister ships are Voyager of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas und Mariner of the Seas. Constructed at Kværner Masa-YardsTurku New Shipyard, Finland, the ship originally measured 138,279 GT and carried 3,807 passengers plus additional crew. A refurbishment in 2014 added 81 additional staterooms, increasing the ship’s gross tonnage to 139,570 GT. Her length is 1,020 feet with a beam of 157.5 feet. The ship contains US $ 8.5 Million dollars in art, displayed in stairwells and public areas. Navigator of the Seas’ main Atrium sculpture spans over seven decks and is based on the bubbles a scuba diver makes when swimming under water. MS Majesty of the Seas is a Sovereign-class cruise ship owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd and operated by Royal Caribbean International. She was built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyards in Saint-Nazaire, France, and placed in service on April 26, 1992. Her Godmother is Queen Sonja of Norway. Plans to transfer Majesty of the Seas to Pullmantur in 2016 had been announced on November 21, 2014, however in July 2015, Royal Caribbean reversed those plans, instead stating that Majesty of the Seas would stay with Royal Caribbean International. A 1/8 scale model of the Majesty of the Seas was built in Morsbach by François Zanella. The Majesty of the Seas (mini) was launched in 2005. She does river cruises in and around Paris. read more…
