Lambourn is a village and
civil parish in
Berkshire , England. It lies just north of the
M4 Motorway between
Swindon and
Newbury , and borders
Wiltshire to the west and
Oxfordshire to the north. After
Newmarket it is the largest centre of
racehorse training in England, and is home to a rehabilitation centre for injured jockeys, an
equine hospital, and several leading
jockeys and trainers. To the north of the village are the
prehistoric Seven Barrows and the nearby
long barrow . In 2004 the
Crow Down Hoard was found close to the village.

Slough is a town in the
unitary authority of the same name in
Berkshire , England, bordering
Greater London . It lies in the
Thames Valley , 20 miles (32 km) west of central
London and 19 miles (31 km) north-east of

Hungerford is a historic
market town and
civil parish in
Berkshire , England, 8 miles (13 km) west of
Newbury , 9 miles (14 km) east of
Marlborough , 27 miles (43 km) northeast of
Salisbury and 60 miles (97 km) west of
London . The
Kennet and Avon Canal passes through the town alongside the
River Dun , a major tributary of the
River Kennet . The confluence with the Kennet is to the north of the centre whence canal and river both continue east. Amenities include schools, shops, cafés, restaurants, and facilities for the main national sports.
Hungerford railway station is a minor stop on the
Reading to Taunton Line .

The Frogmore Estate or Gardens comprise 33 acres (130,000 m²) of private gardens within the
Home Park , adjoining
Windsor Castle , in the English county of
Berkshire . It is the location of
Frogmore House , a royal retreat, and
Frogmore Cottage . The name derives from the preponderance of
frogs which have always lived in this low-lying and marshy area near the
River Thames . This area is part of the local
flood plain . It is also the site of three burial places of the
British Royal Family : the
Royal Mausoleum containing the tomb of
Queen Victoria and
Prince Albert ; the
Duchess of Kent’s Mausoleum , the burial place of
Queen Victoria’s mother ; and the
Royal Burial Ground . The gardens are
Grade I listed on the
Register of Historic Parks and Gardens .
