Portland is the largest city in the U.S. state of Oregon, near the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers. Newport is a city in Lincoln County, Oregon. It was incorporated in 1882, though the name dates back to the establishment of a post office in 1868. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 10,000, an increase of nearly 13% over its 2000 population. Newport is the county seat of Lincoln County. It is also the home of the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Yaquina Head Lighthouse, and Rogue Ales. read more…
