Bucharest is the capital city, cultural, industrial, and financial centre of Romania. It is the largest city in Romania, located in the southeast of the country and is located on the banks of the Dâmbovița River. Bucharest has 2.5 million citizen and is the 6th largest city in the European Union. Economically, Bucharest is the most prosperous city in Romania and one of the main industrial centres and transportation hubs of Eastern Europe. The Palace of the Parliament (Romanian: Palatul Parlamentului) in Bucharest, Romania is a multi-purpose building containing both chambers of the Romanian Parliament. According to the World Records Academy, the Palace is the world’s largest civilian building, most expensive administrative building, and heaviest building.   read more…
