The resistance and drift dynamic optimized catamaran hull guarantees outstanding handling characteristics and security in all situations for the vessel as well as the crew. SunCat 46 is available in two variations concerning the hull. 5.00 m width and 6.85 m either as a yacht or a passenger ship. Equipment, choice of material and handicraft are of highest quality. State-of-the-art technologies are applied to all solarwaterworld yachts. SunCat 46 has a large roof surface ideal to assemble solar cell modules with up to 6 KW capacity. The gained energy is stored in battery units, which provide energy either for propulsion or everyday life on board. SunCat 46 proves: luxury and eco-friendliness is not a contradiction. Furthermore SunCat 46 has a virtually unlimited traveling range due to the use of solar electricity. No further fuel costs occur.

Batteries
Propulsion- / main batteries are located in the floats. They are encapsulated in special battery containers. Every battery container is attached to the hull and equipped with ventilation.
Solar modules
The roof is equipped with Solon solar modules with an overall performance of 6 kW. The capacity of those modules provides enough power for propulsion as well as all on-board systems. Alternatively the batteries can be charged via a land-based charging connection.
