The German Limes Road – experience Roman history
The German Limes Road is a tourist route along the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Germanic-Rhaetian boundary wall from Rheinbrohl/Hönningen on the river Rhine to Regensburg on the river Danube. Along this route there are a many points of cultural and historical interest relating to Roman history in the Rhineland, the Palatinate, Hesse, Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria.
The Verein Deutsche Limes-Straße (German Limes Road Association) is an association of 83 towns, districts and tourist organizations.
The common goal is to raise public awareness of the Limes as a remarkable and outstanding archaeological monument in Central Europe.
