The Baur au Lac is a
5-star luxury hotel near
Bürkliplatz in
Zurich ,
Switzerland . Founded in 1844, it remains family-owned and operated to this day. The Baur au Lac is a member of
The Leading Hotels of the World and
Swiss Deluxe Hotels .
The Baur au Lac features the restaurants Marguita and Baur’s Brasserie & Bar . Marguita offers Mediterranean cuisine and outdoor seating in the hotel park. Baur’s serves European cuisine in an elegant setting. The interiors of both restaurants were designed by Martin Brudnizki.

The Baur au Lac offers 119 rooms, including 27 junior suites and 18
suites . The large
Petit Palais ballroom and five salons are available for events. The top floor features a
fitness club with views across
Lake Zurich to the mountains.
The Baur au Lac employs over 350 people, more than any other luxury hotel in Zurich. The hotel has its own
auto repair shop and
gas station .
