The Beisheim Center is a building complex on Potsdamer Platz in Berlin‘s Tiergarten district. With the completion and opening of the Beisheim Center on January 10, 2004, the development of Potsdamer Platz and thus the largest project of the Berlin urban redevelopment was completed. The building is 70 meters high, with the metal tip on the roof it is 82 meters high. Otto Beisheim had it built for 463 million euros.   read more…

InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel is a historic luxury hotel in Midtown Manhattan in New York City. Caswell-Massey had its flagship store in InterContinental New York Barclay for over 80 years. Caswell-Massey, the oldest chemist and perfumer in America, was the first and oldest tenant of the Barclay. Bette Davis, Gloria Swanson, Mary Pickford, Marlon Brando, Jimmy Durante, Debbie Reynolds, Ernest Hemingway and David O. Selznick all called the Barclay home. In 1992, when Bill Clinton first ran for President, the Barclay was his New York headquarters.   read more…

Paradise Island is an island in the Bahamas formerly known as Hog Island. The island is located just off the shore of the city of Nassau, which is itself located on the northern edge of the island of New Providence. It is best known for the sprawling resort Atlantis with its extensive water park rides, pools, beach, restaurants, walk-in aquarium and casinos. Paradise Island is connected to the island of New Providence by two bridges that cross Nassau Harbour. The first was built in 1966 by Resorts International, and the second in the late 1990s.   read more…

The Beau-Rivage Palace is a historical luxury five-star hotel in Lausanne, Switzerland. It is located in Ouchy, on the shores of Lake Léman. The hotel opened in 1861 and the current main building was constructed in Art Nouveau and neo-baroque style in 1908. It is registered in the Swiss Inventory of Cultural Property of National and Regional Significance. TWA Hotel is a hotel at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, New York City, that opened on May 15, 2019. It utilizes the headhouse of the TWA Flight Center airline terminal, designed in 1962 by the architect Eero Saarinen. The Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc is a resort hotel in Antibes on the French Riviera. Built in 1869 as a private mansion, it opened as a hotel in 1887. Rudolf August Oetker, a German industrialist, and his wife Maja von Malaisé first spotted the mansion while sailing on the Côte d’Azur in 1964; they bought the hotel five years later. For many years the hotel did not accept credit cards. Cash only was accepted, though most guests wired money ahead of their stay. In 2006 this policy was dropped.   read more…
