Bercy Village is a shopping and leisure center in the
12th arrondissement of
Paris , inaugurated in May 2000 and opened to the public in 2002. It is operated by the
real estate company Altarea.
The complex was built on the site of the former cellars and warehouses of Bercy , which were listed as a historic monument in 1986. The site was an important center for the wine market and logistics in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The
Bercy district was developed at the end of the 20th century with the opening of the
Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy (POBP) in 1984 and the construction of the new
Ministry of Finance building.
Bercy Village was completed in 2001 and now features around thirty shops and restaurants. There is also a UGC complex, the
UGC Ciné Cité Bercy .
