Pello (formerly Turtola) is a municipality of Finland. It is located approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of the Arctic Circle in the western part of the province of Lapland, and is part of the Lapland region. The municipality is on the national border with Sweden, by the Tornionjoki river. The municipality has a population of 3,260 (30 September 2023) and covers an area of 1,864.66 square kilometres (719.95 sq mi) of which 126.12 km² (48.70 sq mi) is water. The population density is 1.88 inhabitants per square kilometre (4.9/sq mi).   read more…

The fish market in the Old Port of Marseille is a small fish market made up of around ten stands located in the middle of the Quai de la Fraternité, at the exit of the “Vieux-Port” stop of the M1 metro line. Since Marseille-Provence 2013 European Capital of Culture, the fish market is partially covered by the Ombrière du Vieux-Port de Marseille, an immense mirror ceiling reflecting the activity of the quay.   read more…

Europa Passage is a large shopping mall in the Altstadt quarter of Hamburg, Germany, located between the streets of Ballindamm/Jungfernstieg and Mönckebergstraße near the lake of Binnenalster. It was opened on 5 October 2006. Within the 5-level mall 120 shops and 27 catering outlets can be found on an overall length of around 160 metres and a space of 30,000 square metres. Bormes-les-Mimosas (Occitan: Bòrmas dei Mimòsas) is a commune in the Var department, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, southeastern France. Bormes-les-Mimosas is a city in bloom and won the 2003 Gold Medal awarded by the Entente Florale Europe. The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nice in Nice, France at 33 av. des Baumettes was built in the former private mansion built in 1878 by the Russian Princess, Elizaveta Vasilievna Kochubey.
