Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa is a five star hotel belonging to the Oetker Hotel Management Company Brenners Park-Hotel GmbH on the Lichtentaler Allee in Baden-Baden. Run by the Oetker Collection brand, the hotel is one of the Leading Hotels of the World.

In 1834, the history of the hotel began under the name Stephanienbad. The name was a homage to Princess Stephanie of Baden, adoptive daughter of Napoleon and from 1811 to 1818 Landesmutter Baden. In 1857 the house became the property of French entrepreneurs. The Parisian newspaper Estafette raved about Baden-Baden as a “summer Paris”. Stéphanie les Bains became a magnet for French society. The Franco-Prussian War put a sudden end to it. For more than 170,000 guilders, the Pforzheim based clothing manufacturer and court tailor Anton Alois Brenner acquired the hotel in 1872, including adjoining land, for his daughter and her husband, who had previously operated the small Hotel Blume. However, he died in 1875, since then Anton Brenner seems to have successfully operated the hotel, to which he had given its new name. In 1882, the house with an estimated value of half a million gold marks was handed over to Anton Brenner’s son Camille Brenner. With this hotelier began the rise of the house. About Camille Brenner wrote a contemporary newspaper: “Like a prince, obsessed with collector’s passion and desire to build he created his hotel in ever new metamorphoses. He furnished it with rugs that aroused the envy and admiration of collectors, with exquisite originals and antiques, with which he was the first to furnish the luxurious apartments.” At that time, the foundation was laid for today’s Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa. Since 1895, major renovations have been made, as Villa Imperial, the current Villa Augusta was built. with the purchase of the neighboring Palais Stourdza, the park was added, which reached to the Oos river.
